Why Eye Exam?

The Importance Of Regular Eye Exams

The purpose of an eye examination is to check your overall eye health, measure changes to vision and develop a plan to enhance and maintain your eyesight.

Regular eye examinations are used to test for thousands of different eye diseases. There are over 280 different systemic diseases that can show visible signs of damage in the eyes. Countless prescription medications can also have effects on the eyes. Having a routine exam eye can test for and detect all of these things!

There are a number of tests and procedures used to examine and evaluate the overall health of your eyes as well as the quality of your vision. When you book your comprehensive eye exam at an Eye Exam Centre your doctor will start with simple tests, like having you read an eye chart, then move on to more complex tests, such as using a high-powered lens to examine the health of the tissues inside of your eyes. Depending on your particular needs, the doctor may perform additional tests or schedule them to be performed at a later date.
